W. Nate Irvine

Mr. William “Nate” Irvine is a Partner at GDC representing clients in first-party property insurance defense litigation. He currently manages an active caseload, overseeing complex insurance defense cases from initial filing through comprehensive trial preparation and resolution. Highly experienced in the courtroom and at the negotiating table, Mr. Irvine regularly leads mediations and settlement conferences to minimize client liability and effectively resolves multi-party litigations.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Irvine practiced third-party property insurance defense, where he implemented aggressive defense strategies for corporations, municipalities, and state agencies in Florida State and Federal courts. His extensive litigation background includes handling high-exposure bodily injury claims, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and complex commercial contract disputes. Additionally, Mr. Irvine has specialized experience in securities litigation, having drafted pleadings for shareholder derivative lawsuits, reviewed merger and acquisition deal terms for director wrongdoing, and examined Securities and Exchange filings for evidence of fraud. Fluent in Portuguese and conversational in Spanish, he has also worked on international corporate compliance projects, including analyzing Brazilian banking documents related to money laundering and the LIBOR rate-fixing scandal.

Before embarking on his legal career, Mr. Irvine built a robust foundation in corporate finance. He worked as a Margin Analyst for Morgan Stanley, ensuring compliance with federal and corporate credit policies, and as a Business Analyst/Consultant for The Goldman Sachs Group, providing pricing support for hedge funds and private equity. He leverages this deep financial background to meticulously analyze medical records, expert reports, and valuation data, ensuring accurate risk forecasting and exposure assessment for his corporate clients.
