Valerie L. Lord

Ms. Lord’s practice is focused on community association law, offering comprehensive legal services to condominiums, homeowners’ associations, and cooperatives. Her expertise encompasses drafting, amending, and interpreting governing documents, statutes, and contracts to enable her clients to become fully compliant with current laws and contractual obligations. She also provides strategic advice to community association boards on governance, legal updates, litigation and covenant compliance. With a background as a community association manager, Ms. Lord brings a unique perspective to her legal practice. Ms. Lord’s many years of experience include advising businesses, negotiating and closing complex real estate transactions, settlement of civil disputes, analyzing recorded instruments, contracts and other documents to determine the rights and duties of the parties, and correction of title defects.  Ms. Lord has worked in-house for a major software company in Australia and in the United Kingdom for companies engaged in oil and gas production and development in the U.S and globally.
