Course Outline: This course provides managers and members of the Association’s Board of Directors with a basic understanding of contracts and the tools necessary to evaluate, negotiate, and manage contracts on behalf of the Association. Topics covered include the essential elements of a contract, common contractual provisions, approval and execution requirements, interpretation, and potential risks and liabilities. By developing a better understanding of contract basics, Directors will be better equipped to make informed decisions, protect the Association’s interests, and fulfill their fiduciary duties.
